- Hawaiian Lomi Lomi (Temple Style)- an ancient Hawaiian healing art that draws its tradition from nature and the four elements of fire, air, water, and earth. Spiritual in its basis, Lomi Lomi incorporates long, flowing strokes that are relaxing, meditative, and detoxifying. One key trait is the feeling that there are many hands working on the reciever at one time. There are two different types, "family" style and Temple Style, which is what our clinicians are trained in. Lomi Lomi has a more nurturing and emotionally healing aspect than a traditional Swedish massage and most find it more comforting. The focus of this style is to convey the feeling and spirit of Aloha derived from the sacredness of this work.
- Shiatsu- an ancient Japanese technique where the therapist applies pressure to specific areas of the body using palms, finger pressure, or sometimes even elbows or knees. Pressure is done along meridians, or energy pathways along the body. This energy is either stimulated or dispersed to help bring the body back to balance. Typically, a shiatsu session is done fully clothed and on the floor with the receiver laying comfortably on a mat and supported with cushions. Shiatsu can be adapted for table work.
- Couple's Massage- designed for you and your partner to increase sensuality and intimacy through nurturing touch that is non-sexual. Massage basics are taught to enhance nurturing your relationship on a physical level. In this session you will both give and receive a mini-massage for the head, shoulders, hands and feet while learning to connect to your partner using breathing and intention. This takes your relationship to a whole new level!
- Sonic Entrainment- otherwise known as sound therapy or vibrational treatments, this therapy utilizes sound or frequencies as a way to unclog blockages or stagnation, and promote flow of healing energy.
