Personal Philosophy:
"I am passionate about working closely with people to promote their physical, emotional, and spiritual healing and well-being. It is this very passion that guides my work as a massage therapist. No two beings are the same in either the physical or energetic state, and even the same person needs different types of treatments at different times. I don't believe that 'one massage fits all'. I strive with thoughtful effort to present the best of my skills by listening to you, listening to your body, and customizing what I have to offer to suit your needs. I provide therapeutic massage services because I am invested in helping you achieve your wellness goals, in whatever aspect that might involve.
"Your time, well-being and health are valuable to me. When you come in for a session, I want to take the time to understand what you are seeking, and what your short-term and long-term goals are by receiving a therapeutic massage session from me. When you are here for a session, my intention is to focus on the following:
- Promote an environment that facilitates healing, grounding, centering, cleansing, and nurturing
- Provide a place for you to release negative energy from your body, mind, and spirit
- Allow you to have time for relaxation and peace in a private setting
- Support a positive outlook on your health
- Educate you on body awareness and how you can make changes to release stress and tension
"I believe that true therapeutic massage has powerfully healing qualities, and that is the type of massage I choose to practice. I strive to give you the type of session that I, myself, would want to experience. I am dedicated to working with you to assist you and your body to become more open to the possibilities of the healing qualities of therapeutic massage. And it is my ultimate desire and goal to encourage the type of healing and release that you seek."
About Rosalinda:
Prior to my massage career, I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation Administration from California State University, Fresno. I worked for four years in the therapeutic recreation field as a Certified Recreation Therapist, and shortly after, I decided to pursue Massage Therapy as my next profession. My interest in massage began as a result of working with disabled athletes, as well as adults and children/teens with physical disabilities who were active and who complained of muscular and joint pain. My fascination with the human body and how it worked propelled my interest in massage. I also wanted to continue working with people in a close manner, but on a different level than what I had been doing.
I received my collective massage training from various massage schools in California, including South Bay Massage College, the Massage School of Santa Monica, and the Institute of Psycho-Structural Balancing. I have attended two intensive Lomi Lomi workshops, including one on the island of Maui, taught by Carrie Rowell, who learned the sacred art from a Hawaiian Kahuna. Most recently I have gained additional training in shiatsu bodywork from Zen Shiatsu Chicago. Professionally, I have been in the massage therapy field since 2002. I attained most of my work integrity and experience as a massage therapist while working at the highly acclaimed Massage Therapy Center in Los Angeles for two years. I am a Professional Member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP), and I am nationally certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). Currently, I am also studying for Meditation Instructor certification and look forward to offering and including meditation instruction services in my practice.
